PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma – is a rejuvenation therapy which works by utilising the power of the platelet rich plasma from your own blood, that is extracted and then re-injected under medical supervision. PRP activates stem cells in the skin, forming new tissue including muscles, nerves and elastin. PRP has a wide range of uses in cosmetic medicine, including hair loss. If you’re looking for facial rejuvenation, lip regeneration, neck tightening, to name just a few PRP could be the treatment for you.

What is Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a facial rejuvenation alternative for clients seeking a more natural method. PRP promotes tissue regeneration by harnessing the healing properties of your own blood to restore volume and rejuvenate the skin.
PRP was developed in the 1970s and has developed into a popular treatment, often referred to by the media as the Vampire Facial.

At Aspire Training Clinic we use only “RegenKit® A-PRP® system” – the world-leading Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment. By using Regen PRP, we can offer our clients the most concentrated platelet solution to restore natural volume and improve dull, tired and lax skin.

How does it Work?

Real collagen rejuvenation is achieved by stimulating your skin’s stem cells to regenerate the collagen and elastin naturally and at the same time removing the damaged cells that are ageing you. PRP treatment yields platelets at such a level it will utilise your natural healing processes to release growth factors and stem cells known to stimulate and regulate cell growth and the formation of new connective tissue.

PRP therapy draws on a patient’s own blood, using it to generate thicker, smoother and more supple skin in areas such as the face and neck, décolletage and hands, resulting in fewer lines and wrinkles. During the procedure, blood is taken from the patient, spun in a centrifuge to extract the platelets, before being reinjected into the treatment area. There, the activated platelets release growth factors, which facilitate cell growth, the formation of blood capillaries and, most importantly, the building of new collagen.

Some areas that benefit from a Pure Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment may include:

  • Total face rejuvenation
  • Jawline definition
  • Neck tightening
  • Perioral lines (lines around the mouth)
  • Periorbital lines (lines around the eyes)
  • Lip regeneration
  • Post-pregnancy concerns
  • Hands and arm
  • Décolletage

When combined with secondary procedures such as laser skin resurfacing PRP can achieve outstanding rejuvenation. A PRP facial is also popularly known as the Vampire Facial.

The process – on the day

First You will be asked to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to your treatment, during which a numbing cream is applied to the treatment area and your blood is taken by one of the practice staff.

While the numbing cream is on, your blood is processed and the concentrated platelets (PRP) are extracted. The Pure PRP is then injected back into your areas of concern.

How many treatments will I need?

We normally recommend a course of 3 Regen PRP treatments, with 1 treatment every 4 weeks. A once-off maintenance treatment may be recommended at 6-12 months to maintain your desired results.
Pure PRP may also be recommended as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with Skin Needling.

When will I start to see results?

Most Regen PRP patients notice an improvement in skin hydration approximately 1 week after treatment. This provides an initial plumping result and further changes in volume and structure are normally noticed within 30 days however improvements continue for up to 90 days.
